Nigerians and Christians alike have again been charged to remain undaunted in the face of crisis and challenges, but to rely on the supremacy of God in repositioning every battered situation.
Pastor Emeka of the Holiness Assembly handed the charge last Thursday in Port Harcourt while speaking as guest preacher during the weekly prophetic power clinic interdenominational.
Pastor Emeka noted that, there is a time in life when all things seem not to be working and people tend to end it all in life and maybe saying what do, we do at this point, or may consider committing suicide.
Emeka, who spoke on the topic entitled, “At this point,” with test taken from St. Luke Gospel 5:2-6, 8:43 and John 5:1, said God always proves himself to people at the point when hope seems exhausted.
He said, in every sphere of life, problems irrespective of its magnitude are not above God and so citizens should fall back to God for help, pointing out that human qualification does not apply to ones greatness and levels in life, but God’s qualification is the ultimate.
The preacher while calling on Nigerians to remain focused even in time of crisis, maintained that it is a must to achieve one’s heart desire once it is God’s time and no one can stop it. ###
Two Die Incult Clash In Rivers
A bloody cult clash between two rival groups at Ebubu in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers state has claimed at least two lives and left many others wounded
The crisis, according to eye- witnesses started on Sunday night with the suspected cultists shooting sporadically in the main town of the area,leading to the eventual death of the two people ,who were said to have been killed by stray bullet.
Confirming the incident, the Chairman of the Local Government Area, Hon Orji Ngofa said that only one person was killed in the shoot-out.
“Yes there was a shoot-out between two rival cult groups and I can confirm to you that only one person was killed in the incident”, he said.
Ngofa explained that the situation was “immediately” brought under control when security agents were deployed to the scene of the incident.
When our reporter visited the Eleme Council secretariat after the incident, a team of armed policemen were seen with bullet proof vases patrolling the area..
People have accused the police in the state of not living up to expectation, which was further heightened by the recent abduction and release of the Archbishop of the Anglican Communion Rev Ignatius Kattey by yet to be identified persons.
