Tennis Is Better Learns At Tender Age – Elochukwu

A tennis enthusiast and one time captain of Port Harcourt club 1928 tennis section Chief Ernest Elochukwu has given the age the game of tennis could better be learnt.
According to the workaholic technocrat, the age of 4 is an ideal age for those who want to become tennis stars to start learning.
Speaking to The Newswriter sports, recently in his office, the former captain of Port Harcourt 1928 club tennis section, disclosed that there are steps to be taken to produce a star in the game of tennis, according to him, first is to maintain a good stand balance position.
Secondly is the intending tennis star to maintain his grip on the racquet and he or she must be mentally focused to taking instruction from his or her guide.
He hinted that those aspiring to be tennis players, must play the game under a guide who will take them into the game every step that makes it.
“If the intending tennis player is prepared mentally he or she will develop from a player to a star and then come to the stage of being proficient in the game of tennis.
This could be made possible by involving in constant competition, meaning the one should be competing with others to know one’s level of progress in the game.
He advised all intending players of the game to love the spirit of competition adding that this is where the individual potential grows.
For this to happen, he said the government should emulate other European countries to make facilities available in all private and government schools, noting that government could also go into partnership with the private sector and corporate organizations as it is done in other European countries.
“Sponsorship is sometime the government should never forget in making tennis popular amongst its youths in the land Elochukwu added. ###
