The Founder and General Overseer of Jesus Evangelical Power Mission aka Hill of Blessing, has simultaneously dedicated his son, Master Godness Awongo Banigo to God Almighty and also celebrated the 70th birthday ceremony of his mother Elder Mrs. Janet George Banigo.
The event which took place at the church auditorium, Ozouba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State had the presence of church members, friends and well wishers of the celebrants from all walks of life.
Speaking with The Newswriter at the end of the event, Apostle Blessing Covenant Banigo, the general overseer of JEPM, said the day was ordained by God to dedicate his son Goodness and to celebrate his mother, elder Mrs. Janet Banigo at the age of 70 years.
He admitted of several challenges at the beginning even before he became a pastor, but thanked God for His grace to where he is now. He disclosed that the rapid growth of the church, in terms of followership was as a result of his openness, sincerity, integrity, selfless contribution and service to the welfare of his members, which according to him has made the members to be more committed to the work of God.
Banigo said he has no attribute to the progress and ongoing work at the church auditorium, but to God Almighty who has made it possible.
The man of God however thanked God for finally blessing him an his wife Rev. Mrs. Chigozie Favour Banigo with the gift of Goodness Chukwuebube Banigo whom they now have as a son, despite years of challenges.
He however, used the medium to encourage those who may have had similar experience of theirs to put their trust in God, the author and finisher of all impossibilities.
Apostle Covenant was optimistic that the greatness of God upon his ministry at 7, will bring delude of God’s glory which shall descend on the people of God, particularly the JEPM members, to eradicate their reproaches and shame perpetually, stressing further that God has continued to prove himself at JEPM, because of the obedience to what the scripture says.
Responding, Ama-Opu Senibo Benett thanked God for what he is doing to his people through Apostle Blessing and prayed him (God) to continue to guide him.
While Mr. Paul Okeke, a new covert said he has only seen a man of God that could look at one and speak the truth before him in the person of Apostle Banigo.
Okeke added that his few months in the church has really helped him to mend his ways of doing things. ###
