Amaechi Will Complete His Tenure In 2015 – Hon. Wele

The president of Rivers Leadership Advancement Foundation RIVLEAF, Hon. Alex Wele said the performing governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi will complete his tenure in 2015.

Hon. Wele made the remark during the inauguration of RIVLEAF Abua/Odua chapter last the weekend.

The president who is also an S.A. to governor Amaechi is not in contention but caution critics to be objective and stop spreading unfounded rumours.

Hon. Wele stated that constitutionally the governor’s tenure will end in 2015 and the governor will not be distracted from performing his functions.

The RIVLEAF president told the crowd at the Abua/Odua council secretariat that the purpose of moving from one LGA to another is to mobilize, sensitize and raise awareness for good leadership which his excellence has shown from the days he was a student leader in the University.

He called on the people of Abua/Odua not to be deceived by some clandestine group soliciting for support rather they be weary of traitors and keep the voters card ready for election when the time comes.

In his opening remark, the chairman of the occasion Chief Ephraim S. Nengim Rtd stated that RIVLEAF have exhibited some style of leadership especially following the tract record of their grand patron, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi.

He said good leaders must show some distinguish characteristic such as charisma, visionary, transparency, boldness and passion for the people which governor Amaechi have shown.

Hon. Nengim charged the newly inaugurated RIVLEAF Abua/Odua chapter to be at home and brace up for the challenges ahead and recruit new members in all the wards in the area.

He stated that Abua/Odua have benefited from the project initiated by the council chairman and that of the state governor.

Also speaking, the chairman of Abua/Odua, Hon. Udi Odum have assured the governor and the members of RIVLEAF that his LGA will deliver and will also follow the footstep of the governor.

Hon. Odum stated that because of the projects done by the governor in Abua/Odua the people will remain grateful to him.

The council boss said when the times come he will personally go door to door to campaign and his people will not disappoint him.

In their different solidarity messages, Hon. Piri George, Chief Raymond Oyii, Chief Dandison Oku, Chief Andy Nyonye commended RIVLEAF for bringing leadership to the grassroot. In is acceptance speech, the Foundation chairman Abua/Odua LGA, Mr. Iboh Grant Oporo promise to obey all constituted authority in the discharge of his duties and that of the team. Highlight of the event was cultural display by the Omi cultural trope.

Others who graced the occasion are Hon. Bamidele Lambert (chef of staff) Hon. Meniten Alabo PDP secretary and Hon. Oyekuotor Ukwe secretary of council.

Barr. Obughem Williams Arugu RIVLEAF Legal Adviser gave the vote of thanks. ###
