RSUST: Magnus Abe Commissions 15 Classrooms

The Senator representing Rivers South-East at the National Assembly, Magnus Abe on 22nd of April 2013 commissioned 15 classrooms of the International Secondary School of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) built by Prof. B. B. Fakae.

The newly commissioned 2 storey building comprises of library, Biology, chemistry, physics, Agricultural Science, Home Economics and classrooms which had long been expected by the staff of that school.

Introducing the senator to the building and staff of the school, Prof. Fakae said the school was built out of the need to provide the students a better learning environment to enhance their studying ability.

He pointed out that the school has ICT as its strong point, as teachers are bent on making the students the best ICT students in the shores of Nigeria. The V. C further explained that the school is an international secondary school, adding that the students without a befitting building for studies have demonstrated the ability that they are out to prove that RSUST stands to produce the best brains in the state and beyond.

Senator Magnus Abe on his part advised the students to make use of the opportunity available to them as many students did not have the privilege they are having, saying that one day they too will stand before crowd and address them as every other person they are seeing in the VCs entourage was once like them, including himself.

The principal of the school, Bara Hart expressed happiness over the new building and thanked the VC and Senator Abe for coming to commission the building, promising to put the building into a maximum use. ###
