Abia State Governor Lauds Dabere Over Book Launch

The Abia State Governor, Chief Theodor Orji, has lauded Dr. Sir Osumeabo Sam Dabere KSC JP for launching nine books at a time.

Chief Dr. Orji made the commendation during the book launch in Port Harcourt.

Dr. Orji who noted that he was present at the launching ceremony due to his love for academic excellence, stressed that writing and presenting nine books at a time was not a mean feat, but requires discipline, hard work and determination, describing the books as great necessity to humanity and urged members of the public to patronize the author.

Dr. Orji who was represented by Professor Nkpa Agu Nkpa, the Secretary to Abia State Government advised young authors to emulate Osumeabo and made a donation of five hundred thousand naira.

In his speech, the Head of Service Rivers State government, Barrister LongJohn who described the author as a hard working man commended him for writting wonderful books which he said would go a long way to educate the public and improve reading culture.

The Head of Service who was represented by Mr. Don C. Nwenikaa a Director in the head of service office ministry while purchasing nine copies of the books enjoined the public to patronize the author.

Similarly, Dr. Mpi the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health expressed appreciation for the launching of nine books at a time by a staff of the Ministry of Health.

According to him, “we of the Ministry of Health should be proud of him”. He described the author as honest, intelligent and peaceful, who deserves commendation.

Earlier in his speech, Mr. Gabriel Pepple who chaired the occasion while congratulating the author, noted that he has set a pace for others to follow, describing the books as important to the society. He enjoined public to encourage him by patronize him.

In his speech, the author of the books, Dr. Sir Dabere who gave God the glory for launching the books despite all odds disclosed that he was inspired by the great developers of knowledge and God.

According to him, as a child his mother showed him the way of God, “and as a medical doctor, I promised myself a decent life, but I was disturbed by the ignorance of some patients, hence I wrote the books to educate them”

The author thanked those who supported him, as well as those who attended the ceremony. ###
