Toli Brainset Academy, Macaulay community, Bonny, recently held her first graduation ceremony.
The occasion lasted for hours as some pupils graduated from nursery to primary levels, while the best scholars moved into junior secondary school (Jss1) respectively.
In his speech, the chairman of the occasion, Wariopusenibo Simagha C. Wilcox lauded the management for impacting qualitative education into scholars of the school.
Wilcox noted that by the performance of the pupils it has shown that Toli Brainset Academy is one of the best schools in the area.
He appealed to teachers of the school to live up to expectation to maintain the good image of the school in Bonny.
Also speaking at the occasion, Major Boma LongJohn, commended the school management for the pragmatic teaching that has rated her scholars high in Bonny LGA.
Major LongJohn charged teachers to always ensure sensitive discipline into the children admitted into their school for the betterment of the nation, stating that some schools lack disciplinary measures but insist on high school fees.
LongJohn called on government to always carry out intensive inspection of private schools, so as to give support to quality teaching private schools.
In her remarks, the school’s acting PTA chairman, Mrs. Alawari commended the proprietress, Mrs. Toli for giving the children good education.
The PTA chairman noted that Toli Brainset Academy has produced children that could stand academic challenges in their future learning, based on their present outfit.
Mrs. Alawari charged parents to always ensure that their children are monitored after school hours.
She appealed to parents to ensure prompt payment of school fees so as to enable teachers’ impact qualitative education to their children.
Earlier in her address, the school’s proprietress, Mrs. Toli, said she is in Bonny to show her wealth of experience in education. She assured that any student that passed out of the school will be known anywhere in Nigeria.
The school proprietress confirmed that the school has bagged many first positions among other private schools in Bonny LGA.
She stated that the graduation ceremony was to bring parents close so as to enable them to know the good performance of their children.
According to her, “I will do my best, but let parents assist their quota at home”.
In her response, a graduant of the school, Miss Catherine C. David, commended the proprietress, teachers and management of Toli Brainset Academy for the knowledge they have impacted in her.
Catherine said she was admitted into Toli on scholarship, after the death of her mother, saying that the school proprietress gave free admission to her and the junior brother, Collins C. David.
Catherine further prayed God to help the school grow to greater height.
“I promise to always remember Toli Brainset Academy anywhere, I go”, she added. ###
