The chairman and guber aspirant of Fresh Party (FP) in the last April gubernatorial election, Dr. Minaibi Dagogo Jack, has appealed to the governor of Rivers State to create employment for the youths of the state.
Dr. Dagogo Jack made this appeal while speaking with journalists on the governor’s fourth Supreme Court judgment anniversary at Alfred Diete Spiff Civic centre.
Dr. Jack, who is also the chairman of All Alliance Joint Political Parties in the state and who contested the April gubernatorial polls against the governor under the platform of the Fresh Party (FP) disclosed that scientists have discovered that the alluvial soil that host the mangroves has eight mineral products that could be translated into more eight useful products for the enhancement of the lives of human beings and that the governor should catch in by generating employment in this area.
According to him, if the governor could key in by setling season scientists and engineers, a solid company could be established which will in turn absorb the youths in producing more useful and purpose service to the state and themselves.
He stated that there is serious hunger in the state, positing that what had been discovered by the scientist is a plus to the state revenue, as employment generation is something the state could never at this point in time boast off.
The peaceful looking politician further stated that he could see the effort of the governor but there is much more to be done in the area of employment generation as the state’s viable work strength, the youths, are incapacitated due to lack of employment for them to fend for themselves.
He gave pass mark to the governor for his educational and health developmental strides, and appealed that with the new scientific discovery of the mangroves, the state has been further placed in a more advantageous position to create more opportunity for the youths as well as generate more revenue into the coffers of the state.
He stressed that the governor has tried in his effort of using Rivers monies in serving Rivers people and that this is seen by everyone in the areas of the structures and facilities on ground here and there, but noted that the governor could not claim he has done the best among the people of the state.
According to him, he will always criticize any action that is seen not right by anyone who occupies the number one seat of power of the state while he is also ready to work with anyone who is prepared to serve the state with his or her mind. ###
