There Is Need To Support Amaechi’s Administration – Andrew Miller

The Honourable member representing Opobo/Nkoro Local Government in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Andrew Anderson Miller has described the wife of the governor, Dame (Mrs.) Judith Ameabi as a prayer answered mother to the women and the less-privilege of Rivers State, and urged women of the LGA to continue to pray for her for more political achievements and strength to bear what he called the divine task.

Andrew Miller made this remark on Monday at the visit of the wife of the Governor of Rivers State to the LGA on her pre-planned programme to reduce poverty, and provision of domestic use to the less-privilege in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government with a donation of one million naira loan grant for empowerment to the women.

The honourable member in his speech, further noted that the decision of her Excellency to reach out to the less-privileged women in all 23 local government of the state is a clear indication to all sons  and daughters of Rivers State that leaders are chosen by God and not men, and appealed to all admirers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, irrespective of their political interest, to pray to God Almighty to choose the leaders for Rivers people that will manifest His will. He dedicated the surprised mission of the wife of the governor to God and asked for God’s mercy to be upon her.

The lawmaker also stressed that the leadership of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has never failed the people, especially in area of development, self employment, security, employment and uniting the people of Rivers State, adding that there is need to support the administration of Governor Amaechi within and outside the state. He thanked the wife of the governor for considering the people of Opobo/Nkoro in her planned programme and assured her of their support to her policies and programmes. Items delivered to the women are bags of rice, foam, among others.

The visit was coloured by women leaders and all the women of the various wards including the wife of the council chairman, Mrs. Maclean Uranta, the wife of the Honourable member representing Andoni/Opobo/Nkoro in the National Assembly, Mrs. Dakuku Peterside, wife of the speaker Rivers Stat Assembly, and other respected political sons and daughters of the LGA. ###
