The Good Governance Team led by the Minister of Information, Labaran Maku has arrived Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital to inspect the developmental projects of the Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi led Government.
Briefting Journalists on Tuesday in Port Harcourt on the visit, the Information and Communications Commissioner, Mrs Ibim Seminatari said the Rivers State Government will use the opportunity to showcase the giant strides of the government as translated in the infrastructure put on ground by the Amaechi administration.
According to her, the Monorail project will be the first port of call, then the Omerelu-Owerre Road, Adokiye Amasiemaka Sports Complex, internal roads and Andoni/Opobo Unity Road will follow.
Other areas of visit (inspectation) the Commissioner said will be Songhai Farms (Tai LGA) Model Secondary School (Eleme) and projects in Gokana, among others.
The State Information Boss further said that in all 1,400Km state roads and 251Km federal roads constructed by the Rivers State Government will be inspected during the tour.
According to her, the visit will climax on Saturday, the February 16 with a town hall meeting by all stakeholders at the Civic Centre, Port Harcourt.
She charged the media to be positive in its reportage, as no outsider will tell Rivers State story better than the residents. ###
