Rivers PMAN Inaugurates Emohua EXCO

The Rivers State chapter of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) has on Wednesday 5th of December, 2012 inaugurated the Emohua Unit of the Association.
Those inaugurated into the pioneer Emohua Unit of the Association are; Michael Okuma aka Preacher- Mykele, Chairman, Ezinwo Faith aka Eh-o Vice chairman, Juliet Mdah, aka AJ Blade’s, Kingsley Jacob, aka SPL, Uchechukwu Worgu, aka Simplicity and Public Relations Officer (PRO).
Others are Chukwu Chijioke, aka 21 Treasurer Akiyo Gideon, aka Akiyo Gee, Welfare 1, Endurance Udoh, aka Destiny Boy, Welfare 2, Chizam Awute, aka Young Chuzy Financial Secretary and Solomon O. Okwere, aka Sman, Provost.
Speaking to The Newswriter, the newly inaugurated chairman of PMAN Emohua unit, Michael Okuma described the day as the happiest day in his life, reason being that PMAN was not existing in Emohua before, coupled with his hard work today, the much anticipated PMAN has finally come to be in Emohua Local Government Area. He also expressed joy for being the pioneer chairman of PMAN in the LGA.
The elated chairman noted that looking at the likes of Duncan Mighty making waves in the music industry he would work tirelessly to see that his unit produces the likes of Duncan Mighty, MKZ who all happened to come from Obio/Akpor LGA within one year in his tenure.
Disclosing further he said that he will achieve that by partnering with the Emohua Local Government and the Federal and State Assemblies as his financial strength alone cannot enable not see him to achieve that aim.
He stressed that he has a plan to comb the villages of Emuoha LGA for talents, appealing to all budding musicians, and dancers to come out to the mainstream, as he is seeking to partner with the LGA chairman to give them that desired promotion and limelight.
The Emohua PMAN unit has a membership strength of 40 persons whose five (5) members are already in the studio working on their single album hoping to launch them in the middle of 2013.
Acho Solomon Owuru, 1st Vice chairman of PMAN Rivers State chapter appealed to the State government to continue to provide enabling environment for upcoming performers in the state to enable them excel.
He said many performing talents abound in Rivers State, but the challenge of not having good studios, and market are some of the teething problems bedeviling his members, stressing that it is only when you are marketed after a good job from a good studio that you could hit limelight.
He called on the government to support PMAN and encourage the association to organize occasions where talents would be discovered from the length and breadth of the state.
He maintained that all shows and performance related occasions should be handed over to PMAN as the only body that knows how to go about anything involving show biz projects.
He used the medium to advise the newly inaugurate EXCO to be discipline and hard working, thereby presenting the good image of PMAN in Emohua. ####
