The Rivers State branch of National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Rivers state branch, last week organized three days computer training programmed for its staff to enhance their efficiency on the job in view of the fact, that all the agency’s laboratories are highly computerized.
Speaking at the commencement of the training in Port Harcourt zonal Head/Deputy Director of the Agency, Mrs. Lilian Duru urged the staff to take the training serious and master the use of computer operations so as to make their jobs easier and produce efficient results in view of the agency’s laboratories nationwide have been computerized.
She also noted that participants were selected on merits and all the six zones in the country, have been mandated to embark on such training.
Speaking to our correspondent after the training in Port Harcourt, the principal laboratory Technologist, Mr. Isah said the essence of the 3 days training for the agency staff was to improve their proficiency in computer appreciation and application, he noted that a particular software known as Napams was required by the trainees to enhance their online registration of drugs and other products.
Containing, he stated that the staff are also required to be trained on two other packages, known as excel ad power point, saying, “after the three days training, the staff are expected to improve on their job tremendously”. ###
