A member of Rivers State House of Assembly, representing PHALGA Constituency 1, Hon. Victoria Wobo Nyechi is poised to execute one of her projects she promised people of her constituency when campaigning during the April polls that brought her into office, Hon. Nyechi has said that in a bid to empower youths in her constituency, she has provided an enabling environment for all soccer talents in her constituency to excel.
She organized annual soccer tournament to fish out soccer talents last year, where a football club was founded from the talents discovered from the tournament. She went on to pledge that what she did with the male, she would also do with the females, stressing that all females interested to take football as a career would be supported to the international level.
So far, Dolphins football club of Port Harcourt has benefited from a soccer talent discovered from her organized soccer competition. She promised to sustain the competition annually.
The result of her labour has started coming out as her football team had featured in a youth football competition in Portugal. ###
