Clerk Calls For Arrest Of Bomb Blast Backers

The Bishop of theChristSalvationChurch, Ikot Abasi, inAkwaIbomState, Rt. Rev. Etim Udofia, has joined eminent Nigerians to plead with the president of the country, Goodluck Jonathan, to fish out and prosecute those behind the bomb blasts.

He also called on the vice president to smoke out those solidly behind the violence that erupted after the April general elections that were regarded a peaceful and democratic.

The bishop spoke to the mammoth congregation at the end of a seven day fasting and praying over the weekend by the members which took place at Ikot Abasi LGA.

Rev. Udofia who lauded the role Goodluck Jonathan is playing in handling the nation’s affairs within the short space of time, said Mr. President would do the nation a lot of good if those behind the illegal acts are brought to book.

Speaking on the theme, “Starting on the promises of God,” Rt. Rev. Udofia also called on the federal government to find a lasting solution to the spate of violence, bombing and kidnapping in the nation.

Specifically, the bishop described the bombing as threat to national security, adding that the president would be ungrateful to Nigerians and indeed the international community, if he fails to prosecute those behind these violence and bombing incidents. ####
