Participants of Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators, ANUPA, workshop came out of the lecture angry complaining of being maltreated in terms of welfare by the local organizing team led by Joe Alaga.
The workshop which was held at the Amphitheatre of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, hosted all the Dick and Tom of University administrators across the country.
Respondents who spoke to this tabloid had it that the lunch offered them was very poor both in quality and quantity, and that all were served with garri, not minding whether one likes garri or not.
According to these protesters, some of them are diabetics and should have been offered alternatives to choose from.
In their separate speeches, they condemned the act, adding that they paid enough money to take care of their feeding and workshop materials.
Earlier during the opening session, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Barineme Fakae, pointed out the deplorable situation of the university before he assumed office and how he worked for the improvement and tried to put everything in the right shape and that all courses in the institution are now accredited.
He took the participants out for a facility tour round the university and they all confessed his great vision and dream for the institution, and prayed God to keep him in the University to do more.
Joe Alaga who is the RSUST Chapter Chairman of ANUPA, later appealed to the press to highlight the achievements of the university, regard it as their own and protect its image.
He explained that the workshop was a service to all and that participants were expected to serve better in their various points of duty after passing through the workshop. ###
