Rev. Ezekiel Balogun, the presiding General Superintendent of the City of David Gospel International Church, Rumualogu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has stated that there are perilous times ahead.
He stated this, while speaking on the sermon titled “perilous times ahead” at a Sunday Service, held last week at his Church.
The Cleric who took his Scriptures from the Book of Matthew 24:1,29, 28:19, 20 and 2 Tim. 3:1,9, echoed the prophecy of Jesus Christ, reiterating that perilous times shall occur in the last days.
One of the indices he indicated during his sermon was the growing cases of corruption, even in some churches where Ministers of God have developed the penchant for amassing wealth instead of the primary aim of winning souls for the kingdom of God.
The Cleric further stated what Jesus Christ said “go ye therefore and teach all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost”, stating further, that verse 20 of Matthew 28 teaches believers to “observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and lo I am with you always even to the end of the world”.
Continuing, he stated that Jesus Christ in the aforementioned scripture, commissioned his disciples to spread the gospel by evangelism, stating that by implication that same commission to evangelize the World, was extended to Messengers of Jesus Christ and believers Worldwide, no matter their denomination.
The Cleric admonished the entire Body of Christ to preach what he called “undiluted salvation messages” to their flocks, stating that Ministers of the Gospel should be mirrors of example, in promoting Righteousness and Holiness, because Jesus Christ, he said, and summed it up by stating that they are “like the books the World reads”.
The occasion also featured prayers offered by the man of God for the members of Congregation and God’s protection for Governor Chibuike Amaechi and his team as well as the entire Nation. ###
