Dr. Peter D’ Adamo, a nutrition specialist, in his book “Eat right for your type” stated that food with lectins that are not in harmony with the cells of a particular blood group cause varying degree of damage and disease in the body. He opined that blood group As, for example, should avoid meat and take yoga; type Os should eat a high protein, low carbohydrates diets. Bs can do well on diary product; ABs have all the benefits and tolerance of As and Bs e.g an adherence who is a type A, confirms that as a high fan of Yoga, he thus feel better when he sticks to vegetarian diets.

According to him, all burned foods: toasted, roasted, baked, broiled and barbecued are not exempted.
He asserted that the brown part of such food are toxic but that the inner part is okay for consumption.
As for cooking oils, only virgin olive oil is recommend because it remains unrefined and undeodorised, others have gone through processing where they had been treated by harsh processes, he said.
Some experts in health cycles frowns at the excessive indulgence of some people in what they call the “whites”: white eggs, white flour, white milk, sugar, and salt.
