Tete Austin Buried In Ajakajak

The remains of an Ambassador of Peace, Late elder Austin Dimkpa Haggai, 85, was last weekend laid to rest at his country home, Ajakajak, in Andoni local government area of Rivers State.
Relations, friends, colleagues, sympathizers and politicians were at the funeral of the departed charismatic revolutionary leader.
Speaking at the funeral service which held at Our Saviours (Ang) Church, Ajakajak Parish, Rev. Abiye Karibo Opuiyo, described “Tete Austin Dimkpa Haggai as a pillar of light and accommodating who had conquered death in that he died in the Lord and appealed to the living to emulate his transparent lifestyle and emulate Jesus Christ.
He condoled all to take heart, saying that Tete Austin has gone to live in God’s bosom and advised the larger congregation to repent.
In a funeral oration, Tete’s son in-law, Mr. Ibiebara Fyneface, described him as peaceful, loveable and industrious. Also speaking, Chief James Offong said that the vacuum created by Tete in the Men’s Christian Association (MCA), Andoni Archdeaconary, Ajakajak community and outsiders would be difficult to fill.
In a chat with newsmen, Tete’s sons, Mr. Rember Ebirien Austin and Engr. Emma Austin described their father as industrious, diligent, accommodating, liberal and a pillar of wisdom, while Eugene Benson Utong, Esquare, the Parish communicator of Late Mr. Austin Haggai’s church, described him as a venerable head of peace, not only in the church but to outsiders.
The burial was graced by people from all walks of life. ###
