Ministry Set To Install Scrap To Wealth Equipment

The Rivers State Ministry of Environment has concluded its plans to install equipment at the state government owned scrap to wealth project in the next two weeks.
The Rivers State Commissioner for Environment Dr. Nyema Weli disclosed this last week in Kira, Tai local government area of Rivers State.
According to him, with this development, full operation on the project would commence by the third quarter of this year.
The commissioner however directed the Managing Director, Mr. Joe Oyibo, the Nigerian representative of foreigner technical partner, Seram UK to effect finishing works on whatever was left undone on the structure within two weeks.
Earlier, the Managing Director, Delight Nigeria and Mr. Oyibo had briefed the commissioner and his entourage on the extent of work done on the project.
Mr. Oyibo said the wall hosting the shredder which initially delayed the commencement of installations has been corrected.
He affirmed that finance was not a hindrance to the prosecution of the project.
The commissioner and his entourage later inspected the waste to wealth site at Rumukrushi in Obio/Akpor local government area which was also ready for installation. ###
