Let’s Run A Unity Govt, Evang. Nwana Tells IPMAN

It is on record that the much awaited Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, Rivers State Chapter election, may have been concluded in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Yet, there are rumors emanating from certain quarters that elections were never held.
One would wonder what more that is needed in an election such as IPMAN’s, that had the presence of the National Chairman of
National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas NUPENG, the Chairman, Tanker Drivers Union, Mr. Obu, representatives from
IPMAN National body and Journalists from Electronic and Print Media, that were part and parcel of the conduct of the elections.
Speaking with our correspondent, shortly after his arrival from Abuja, the IPMAN Public Relations Officer (PRO), Evangelist Obinna Nwana recalled that candidates for the elections had campaigned very well, only to be told that the election billed to take place at Omega Hotels was shifted for another date.
Nwana called on speculators saying that there was no election to remember that monies were spent on venue and accommodations for the officials that came across the state to conduct the election.
He disclosed the readiness of the newly elected executives to accommodate the immediate past executive members, by giving them ex-officio positions, in order to move the association forward.
The image maker of IPMAN, Rivers State Chapter, also enjoined members not to engage in anything that will destabilize the set – out objectives of the new executives that have been elected and sworn-in to office.
Evang. Nwana, thanked God for bringing peace back to IPMANJ pointing out that any time they have problem at IPMAN, their business activities are always left in the hand of NNPC. He urged members to come together and work as a team, respect elders and remove their eyes from anything that will derail the good intentions of their association.
Obinna described IPMAN as a big voice, and advised members to show commitment to the issue of de-regulation. He noted further that IPMAN has the control of over 7O% operational filling stations across the Federation, having helped in the building of petrol stations in all the nooks and crannies of the country, helping to reduce the problem of fuel scarcely, across the nation.
The MD/CEO of Ems Oil Mg. Ltd., and the Image Maker of Rivers State IPMAN, Evang. Obinna Nwana, used the medium to call on the National Deputy President of IPMAN, Dr. Chinedu Okoronkwo, who he said is not taking any side, to use the 7 man committee set-up by him to look into the process and outcome of the IPMAN, Rivers State chapter election that was held on the 20th of April, 2012 at Hotel Presidential, to reconcile the aggrieved and non aggrieved members of the association, describing him as a father to all IPMAN members.
IPMAN PRO noted that the process in which the new executives emerged in Rivers State chapter of IPMAN, was the same process that produced other executive members in other states of the Federation that had their own elections as well. ###
