Over 300 eye patients in Etche Local Government Area have been treated free of charge by the Kingdom Vision International, a non Governmental Organization (NGO) floated by the wife of Chairman of Etche Local Government, Mrs. Marian Ukwuoma.
The exercise which lasted for three days was held at 0kehi, headquarters of Etche Local Government Area.
Addressing the eye patients, wife of Etche Local Government Chairman, Mrs. Marian Ukwuoma said the blessings and the elevation of her family by God motivated her to float the NGO, to use it to attend to the needs of the less privileged persons in the society.
She said, there is joy in rendering a purposeful service to humanity, particularly the widows, and the orphans, the sick and disabled persons.
Also speaking, the leader of the medical team, Dr. Pius Okemini urged the people to inculcate the habit of routine checks to ascertain their health status and proffer solutions early enough.
In appreciation, a recipient, Miss Nkechi Oluo thanked wife of Etche Local Government Chairman, Mrs. Marian Ukwuoma for being sensitive to the plight of the less privileged in the Local Government Area, calling on other well meaning individuals and organizations to follow this good example.
