“Marriage is referred to as an institution, but none has given any curriculum or extra curriculum activities for it. Every institution has curriculum. In the garden of Eden, there were two curriculums: one from God, commanding the couple, Adam and Eve not to eat of the fruit in the middle of the garden, while the other from the devil deceitfully ordering them to eat of it so their eyes will be opened.
“We do not have a better curriculum in all areas of life except the bible which is the word of God”, were the words of Evang. Chima Nwanmuo during the wedding ceremony between Miss Uloma Dickson Dinneya of Umu-Imegwu, Abayi Okoroato Obi-Ngwa local government area of Abia State and Mr. Silas Gibson Imiagba Otoni-Amaof Nkoro Town in Opobo/Nkoro local government area of Rivers State, at the church of Christ, Abayi-Okoroato Obi-Ngwa, Abia State on Saturday April 7, 2012.
Evang. Chima reiterated that marriage is for mature minds. He further revealed that working together as a team, sharing, assisting, appreciating and learning are some of the extracurricular activities for a successful marriage.
In the same vein, the chairman of the wedding ceremony, Chief Friday O. Dinneya advised the couple, “This is another theological school. Let love rule, guide and lead you. Do not let in the third party to be a barrier to your marriage.”
Earlier, the couple went through the traditional marriage riles and vows successfully and peacefully on Friday, April 6, at the bride’s home at Umu-Imegwu, Abia State.
The couple, Mr./Mrs. Silas Gibson Irimiagha, attributed their success, breakthrough and miracle of love that brought them together to faith in God, patience, discipline and obedience to parental guidance and God’s blessings and favour to other youths who are desiring to get married and thanked God for the support given them by families and friends as they asked for God’s mercy to lead all and sundry back to their various destinations. ###
