Proper Derivation Will Move Nigeria Forward – HRH King Dandison Jaja

The Amanyanabo of Opobo, Jeki the 5th, HRM King Dandison Jaja, says if proper derivations are thought out and compensations are paid where oil spill happens, the country will more forward.
The King made the assertion at an investiture ceremony of the Chief of Staff to Government House, Sr. Chief Tony Okocha and the Special Adviser on Statute and Strategic Planning to the governor, Hon. Okey Okirie, at Presidential Hotel on February 27, 2012. He said as Nigeria lacked equity, several agitations will always come up.
The Amanyanabo also said in the 60’s when government was formed, the youths were erroneously excluded, saying time has come when Nigerians should be considered in all scheme of things.
He lamented that Nigeria today is on a cross road and the youths should be part of those to reshape the future. While tasking the youths to take their rightful place, he congratulated the Chief of Staff and Hon. Okey Okirie for the honour done them by the Rivers Youths Movement (RYM).
Earlier, the chairman of the occasion, Prof. Lawrence Igwe positioned that honouring the Chief of staff is a welcome development owing to the numerous activities done by the body in the past to support the election of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi.
He said contributing to the Amaechi’s success has brought some of the development in the area of education like the building of the modern primary schools.
Prof. Igwe who joined others to congratulate the Chief of Staff and the adviser of strategic planning, said it was the beginning of new things to come.
In his remark, the chairman board of Patrons, RYM, Chief (Dr.) W. V. Weli (JP) expressed gratitude for members who have engaged in a lot of campaigns for the success of the Rotimi Administration and said they should sustain the tempo.
Responding, the Chief of Staff who was a one-time caretaker committee chairman of Obio/Akpor local government council, thanked RYM for the honour done to them as this will spur them to greater heights, describing the investiture as a good omen to both of them. He also thanked them for the 2-million man match and the organization’s involvement in the enthronement of good governance in the state.
Hon. Sir. Tony Okocha, by the investiture, is now the Chairman, Board of Trustees and Hon. Okey Okirie, becomes the secretary, Board of Trustees, Rivers Youth Movement.
Other dignitaries at the occasion include, Eze Robinson O. Robinson, Eze Logbo, Engr. Vincent Furo, Rev. Fr. John Nwangbu, the President General of RYM, Engr. Richard Alete, the chairman Rivers State Sanitation. Hon. Isobo Jack.
Highlight of the event was the investiture of the duo, Hon. Okocha and Hon. Okirie, Dancing and singing by members.
It could be recall that the governor of Rivers State Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi is the Grand Patron of RYM while Dame Judith Amaechi, the wife of the Governor is the Grand Matron, while HM. Eze (Ft. Lt) Robinson O. Robinson (Rtd) JP. Eze Ekpeya Logbo, is the Life Patron. ###
