A prominent socio-political group in the Kalabari kingdom known as Kalabari Unity Project Initiative for Good Governance (KUPIGG) has expressed satisfaction of the administrative styles of the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike. The group noted that Governor Wike’s leadership pattern has given a face-lift to the entire state.
This was contained in a statement issued in Port Harcourt and made available to newsmen on Monday, KUPIGG described the governor as a man of good character and clear vision.
The statement which was signed by the chairman of the group, Comrade Jerry Horsfall, KUPIGG also applauded the governor for the flagged-off of the renovation of Buguma and Abonnema General Hospitals.
According to Comrade Horsfall the renovation of these hospitals will save a lot of lives in Kalabari communities.
KUPIGG alleged that so many Kalabari sons and daughters have lost their lives as a result of non availability of good health care delivery in the area.
“Now that the governor has done this, we need to appreciate him because the projects when completed will save lives. Governor Wike is a good man”, Comrade Horsfall said.
The KUPIGG chairman had earlier called on the people of Asalga and Akulga to come out enmass to vote for candidates of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the December 10, 2016 re-run elections in the state.
Comrade Horsfall specifically prayed the people of Asari-Toru LGA to vote for the two Rivers Assembly candidates, namely: Hon. Tekenari Wellington Granville (Constituency 1) and Hon. Enemi George Constituency II). He further canvassed votes for Boma Goodhead (Akulga/Asalga federal constituency) Hon. Randolp Brown (Delga/Bonny Federal seat), Hon. Osinachuku Odezu (Rivers West Senatorial District) on the day of the election.
He predicted victory for PDP in the December 10, 2016, pointing out that the All Progressives Congress, APC is dead and buried in the Kalabari Kingdom long time ago. ####
