League Of Character Club Holds Enlightenment Programme

In view of the current security challenges in Nigeria and as part of its programme for the year 2012, the League of Character Clubs Nigeria, LCC, will organize a Sensitization and Education Seminar for the youths of Niger Delta.
The one day public enlightenment programme with the theme, “The Role of Youths In Nation Building”, will hold on March 8, 2012, in PortHarcourt, Rivers State.
In a press release signed by the president of LCC, Character, chief Christian Kokoriko, the unique programme is tailored to be nation-wide with Niger Delta as a starting point and is aimed at character molding and promotion of peaceful co-existence in the society, to make the youths shun all sorts of social vices and engage in meaningful ventures that would ensure lasting peace in Niger Delta Region and the country at large
Chief Kokoriko who is also the chairman of the planning committee with Pastor Parry Saroh Benson as the Secretary, said committees have been set up and they include the Central Working Committee, Publicity, Protocol, Security, Accommodation and Transport committees.
He said His Excellency, Dr Goodluck Jonathan who is the Grand Patron of the club, will be the Special Guest of Honour, while the Honourable Minster of Youths and Minister of Niger Delta Affairs are expected to be Guests of Honour, with Governor Rotimi Amaechi would be the Chief Host.
“The programme will give another opportunity for us all to build a better Nigeria. If character is lost, everything is lost”, chief Kokoriko stated and called on the NDDC, the Federal Government State Government Local Government and corporate bodies to support the programme.
