July 30: Akulga/Asalga Constituency Backs Dr. George, APC

dawariAhead of the July 30, 2016 re-run elections in the Akulga/Asalga Constituency, the constituents have declared total support for Dr. Dawari George, saying that he is the only person for now to represent them in the lower House of the National Assembly.

Dr. George is contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and currently seeking for second term in office.

The people of the constituency have advised Boma GoodHead of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who is also seeking their mandate to represent them in the Federal House of Representatives to step down for Dr. George because she has nothing to offer as far as legislative business is concerned.

The constituents noted that while Dr. George was in the Federal House of Representatives, he touched their lives positively, adding that whereas Ms GoodHead brief stay in the Federal House did not have positive impact on their lives and communities. They described Boma GoodHead, the PDP’s candidate for the July 30 re-run election as an “anti-progressive force”, alleging that she does not have the capacity to represent them in the lower chamber of the National Assembly.

They said that, the constituency will reject any candidate who is contesting on the PDP platform, stating the party has not done anything positive to turn around the fortune of the constituency.   ###
