Fathers’ Day: Wike Urges Fathers To Invest In Rivers’ Devt

•Gov-Wike-Wieding-the-big-axeRivers State Governor, Chief Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike has called on fathers to consistently invest in the growth of the state for sustainable development to be achieved.

Wike, who made the call in a goodwill message to fathers on the occasion of the 2016 Father’s Day, urged fathers to serve as positive role models to youths for a greater future for the state.

The governor noted that fathers as positive role models would guide youths on the path of honesty, positive family values, societal development while they would be encouraged to shun crime.

He appealed to fathers to work with mothers in the state to build strong families that would impact positively on the state.

While wishing fathers a wonderful fathers’ day celebration, Wike prayed God to always empower them with the capacity to discharge their onerous responsibilities to their families and the society.

He assured the people of the state that his administration would continue to execute projects and programmes that would enhance the quality of lives of all segments.
