Well Done Supreme Court Of Nigeria

Democracy as a system of civilized governance recognizes three (3) arms of government namely: the executive, judiciary and legislature. Each arm has its statutory responsibilities to enhance the democratic values.
In the military administration when draconian rules are order of the day, the legislative organ is absence. Where young military officers promulgate dangerous decrees and edicts without considering the interest of the people.
Though three (3) organs of government exist, but for a sustainable democracy, the role of the judiciary cannot be overemphasized.
However, there are some judges and judiciary workers for the purpose of personal gain and self-aggrandizement are hell bent to truncate the Nigeria’s democratic system.
Last Wednesday the Supreme Court of Nigeria had affirmed the election of the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike. This verdict came as a good news to every true Rivers man and lovers of democracy.
Before the last Wednesday’s Supreme Court judgment, Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC had threatened fire and brimstones. It is our joy that the decision of the Apex Court on the Rivers gubernatorial election has averted blood shed in the State.
We give kudos to the justices of SCN for delivering such a land mark judgment to ensure that peace reigns in Rivers State, the treasure base of the nation. ###
