Abua/Odual: Chairman Aides Threaten To Resign Over Unpaid Salaries

Monday, no fewer than twenty (20) political appointees in Abua/Odual Local Government stormed our newsroom to protest what they call, “a non payment of their salaries. The aggrieved political aides who spoke through one Comrade Raphael alleged that since their appointment in July they have not received one kobo from the council as salary or stipend.

The visible angry political appointees from the Abua/Odual LGA lampooned the council chairman for frustrating Governor Nyesom Wike’s vision of empowering the people at the grassroots.

Comrade Raphael informed our correspondent that if the chairman refuses to pay the three (3) months salaries owed them, they will quit or resign their appointment.

“What kind of political appointment is this? An appointment without payment. That is nonsense. We have never seen this type of administration in Abua/Odual LGA. It is very strange to us”, Comrade Raphael asserted .

The angry political appointees accused the CTC chairman of greed, alleging that his tenure has thrown the entire LGA into poverty and penury.

They sent a passionate appeal to Governor Wike to call him, describing him as “eat alone animal” that do not have the interest of the people of the area and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the LGA at heart.

The political appointees, however pledged their unalloyed loyalty to the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, and promised to give him the needed support to succeed. ###
