The residents of Minama Community in the Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State have fled to neighbouring villages including Sangama, Omekwe-Tariama, Krakrama, Angulama amongst others following a renewed insurgency in the community.
Information reaching our crime desk had it that, two persons have been killed in the community on Wednesday by unknown gunmen who invaded the town.
The cause of this fresh killing was unknown as at the time of filing this report, but reliable sources hinted our crime reporter that the Minama Community in the past few months has in ever enjoyed peace.
The deceased were simply identified as Perekunoma and Bobby Slim.
It would be recalled that, penultimate week; a youngman was brutally murdered in the town. As at the time of going to the press, the killers are yet to be identified.
