The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Hon Benjamin Ibietonye on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to the Bonny Council of Chiefs at the Perekule Palace.
The Chairman of Chiefs’ Council, Se Alabo A.O Manila Pepple lauded the CTC Chairman, Hon Benjamin Ibietonye and his entourage for the courtesy visit to the palace. Hon Ibietonye was accompanied by CTC members, Local Government functionaries and party Chieftain Hon Simon E. Hart.
In his remarks, the chairman of Bonny Chiefs’ Council thanked the council boss and his entourage for the visit to the palace. Earlier, the chairman of chief’s council congratulated the chairman and CTC members on their appointments.
He noted that the present CTC members may not be the best in the party but leadership have been bestowed on them to pilot the affairs of the LGA.
Se Alabo A.O. Manila Pepple charged the supervisors to work in unity with the Bonny Council of chiefs as their portfolios are similar to that found in chiefs’ council adding that the present CTC chairman have so far demonstrated his leadership quality within his short time in office.
He lauded Hon Ibietonye for his idea in working closely with the traditional institution from inception into office.
While tasking other political appointees to do their best in discharge of their assignments, he called on unity among politicians in Bonny Kingdom. Later, the council of chiefs held a closed door meeting with the Bonny CTC chairman and the council secretary, Japhet Loveday Dublin Green.
While the Chiefs Council assured the council boss that he will be attending subsequent Chiefs’ Council meetings at the palace hence he remains the Bonny council chairman.
In his view, Se Alabo Idasonye Ezekiel Hart commended Bonny politicians for making Bonny free from political violence.
