Rivers Muslims Applaud Wike Over Board Appointment

The Rivers State Islamic council has applauded Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike over the recent appointment of credible and faithful Muslims into the Rivers State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board.

This was contained in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Monday and made available to The Newswriter, the Rivers Muslims expressed optimism that the new appointees will bring overall development into the state Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board.

The statement which was signed by the Council’s Secretary-General, Alhaji Daud Pennuel, the members of the Rivers State Islamic Council said that considering the caliber of the Islamic faithful appointed into the Board, Governor Wike meant well for Rivers Muslims.

The members of new Rivers State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board are Alhaji Abdul Razaq Depiriye – Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Maisundu, Alhaji Jackrich Macson Mustapha, Alhaji Ibrahim Akani, Alhaji Abdullahi Anafi Asejere.

Others include: Alhaji Ibrahim Adokiye Okiri and Alhaji Ibrahim Nyekachi Orlu.

The RSIC congratulated the governor on his electoral victory and prayed Allah to give him the necessary wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state to the greater heights.

The Rivers Muslims also felicitated with the new appointees and prayed Allah to guide and protect them while executing their official duties. ###
