Insecurity/Thuggery: Amaechi Indicted

Ex-governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has been accused of fueling crisis in Rivers State. High Chief Stanley Tyger Amachree, the leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Revolutionary Force (NDPRF) made this know at a press briefing in Port Harcourt at the weekend.

He alleged that the former governor causes the problems of insecurity and thuggery through some of his loyalists in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

High Chief Tyger Amachree said that Amaechi is not only Rivers’ problems, but the major cause of all the crises in Nigeria.

The Kalabari High Chief appealed to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari to call the erstwhile Governor of Rivers State to order and warned Amaechi not to interfere unnecessary with the domestic affairs in Rivers State.

“Amaechi should stop sending his boys to invade the Federal High Court premises in Port Harcourt. If not a time will come when all true Rivers people will run out of patience”, High Chief Tyger Amachree warned.

He recalled how Amaechi’s APC members killed hundred of persons in Rivers State during the April, governorship election. The NDPRF boss further lamented that the APC gruesomely murdered several PDP supporters in the Kalabari speaking Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Asalga, Akulga and Delga.

“Two of Egberipapa’s strong men including his CSO, Minabo were killed by the APC members” High Chief Tyger-Amachree alleged.

He reaffirmed the electoral victory of Chief Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike as the executive governor of Rivers State, and faulted the sitting of the election petition tribunal in Abuja.

On the cancellation of the oil pipeline surveillance contract in the Niger Delta region, High Chief Tgyer Amachree said that the action taken by the President Buhari might cause crisis in the region.

He noted that the Nigerian military are not capable to secure the pipelines in the Niger Delta creeks.

He had earlier drawn the attention of the ugly situation of the Government Vocational Technical College, Tombia, and Kings College of Commerce, Buguma to the lawmakers representing Degema Constituency and Asalga Constituency I in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Dr. Farah Dagogo and Hon. Tekenari Wellington to place the plights of the two institutions before the governor, so that he can do something about them. ###
