Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, has said that Nigeria desperately needs a president with a strong character and bearing to lead the country.
He also said that the presidential candidate of APC, General Muhammadu Buhari, remains the only option viable for Nigeria to move forward.
Speaking during an interactive session in Port Harcourt, Peterside described Buhari as a transparent and experienced leader, just as he called on the people of the South-South region to discountenance attempts to portray Buhari as a religious bigot.
He said: “Only very few persons in Nigeria today can deny the fact that the country is faced with multifaceted challenges in the areas of security, power, education, employment, corruption and many others, and it is only a focused government headed by an enigmatic leader like Buhari that can address the nation’s many challenges.”
