A fresh appeal has gone to Police, Directorate of State Security (DSS), Joint Military Task Force (JTF) and other security agencies to ensure the continued detention of Christain Don Pedro.
A socio-political group known as New Kula Vision (NKV) made the appeal in a press statement issued in Port Harcourt at the weekend and made available to The Newswriter.
The New Kula Vision (NKV) described Christian Don Pedro as an “ex-militant”, expressing fears that if released from the detention he might cause havoc in Kula community in the forth-coming elections.
The press statement which was signed by the chairman of the group, Comrade Iworima James said there is plan under way to disrupt the general election by the detained ex-militant.
The statement reads in part: “Kula community in Akuku-Toru Local government Area is now peaceful.
Let us take this time to plea with the security agencies not to do anything that will bring violence in our community. And the only way, Kula will enjoy violence free elections is the non release of Christian Don Pedro. ###
