Alleged Greed: Asari-Dokubo Deserted …36,922 Supporters Pull Out

Confusion now rocked the Alhaji Mujahid Asari-Dokubo led Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, NDPVF, as no few than 36,922 ardent supporters pulled out of the group.

The aggrieved supporters cited greed, insincerity and oppression for some of their reasons of breaking out from the NDPVF.

Speaking exclusively to The Newswriter on Monday in Port Harcourt, the leader of the aggrieved members, Chief Stanley Tyger Amachree accused Alhaji Asari Dokubo of insensitivity to the plights of the members.

Chief Tyger Amachree revealed that the pull-out members have formed another formidable group known as Niger Delta Peoples Revolutionary Force (NDPRF). The leader further disclosed that out of 42,800 total members of the NDPVF, 36,922 persons abandoned the Asari-Dokubo’s group to join the new NDPRF.

Chief Tyger Amachree maintained that, with the recent crack, Asari-Dokubo is no longer on ground, and therefore lost his popularity.

He said that the new Niger Delta Peoples Revolutionary Force, NDPRF stands for peace, justice and progress of the Niger Deltans. Chief Tyger Amachree had told our correspondent that Asari-Dokubo had deceived them severally, describing him as a wicked fellow that does not have the interest of his people at heart.

“There is no way, we shall follow such a leader. Asari-Dokubo is greedy and has no human feelings,” Chief Tyger Amachree thundered.

The leader of the NDPRF lamented that through out their years of following Asari-Dokubo, they stand to gain nothing, as their family members are suffering and could not afford three (3) square meals.

“Asari-Dokubo told us not to partake in the out going amnesty programme. And we obeyed. But to our surprise, Asari-Dokubo has a lot of amnesty contracts, and living in Opulence and mansions, while we the followers are eating from hand to mouth.

Asari-Dokubo has a lot of investments including university. Why is he deceiving us? After all we are not babies,” Chief Tyger Amachree said.

Chief Tyger Amachree further hinted this weekly that the said 36,922 persons pulled out from the Asari-Dokubo’s NDPVF with anger, annoyance and vexation.

He demanded that the federal government and other relevant agencies to consider and enlist them in the ongoing amnesty programme. Chief Tyger Amachree further pleaded that his members should also be considered in the award of the surveillance contracts so as to give them a sense of belonging as Niger Deltans.###
