The Campaign team of the Asari-Toru Local Government Area (Asalga) chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has concluded its LGA ward tour. The campaign team was led by Mr. Mpaka Long John.
The tour which started last Saturday, moved round the thirteen (13) wards of the LGA.
At the various wards, the LGA campaign chairman pleaded with the people to give their support to the ruling party in the forthcoming elections.
Mr. LongJohn extolled the leadership qualities of the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Chief Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, expressing optimism that if Wike is voted into power come April 11, 2015, the people of the state will witness speedy development. The LGA Campaign Chairman described Chief Wike as a man of clear vision and mission.
Mr. LongJohn had also told the people to ensure that they stand behind President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in the March 28, 2015 presidential poll.
He observed that President Jonathan is a true Nigerian and a detribalize citizen, adding that his continuity in governance will launch the country on the path of development.
Mr. LongJohn further canvassed votes for the various contestants namely: Wellington Itekenari (Constituency I RSHA), Enemi Alabo George (Constituency II RSHA), Boma Goodhead (Asalga/Akulga Federal Constituency) and Hon. Osy Ideozu (Rivers West Senatorial District).
He said that, the PDP is the only political party that could proffer solutions to the Nigeria’s problems, stating that a vote for PDP is a vote for peace, security and development. ###
