Rivers Chief Registrar of High Court Leonard Adoki who was kidnapped in his home town Amalem in Abua-Odua Local Government Area Rivers State while coming back from service November has regained his freedom.
The Chief Registrar commended the Commissioner of Police, Dan Bature and other law enforcement agencies in the state for the pressure they mounted on his abductors which necessitated his early released on the 28th of November 2014. He told judicial press corps/crime reporters that paid him visit on the day of his release in Port Harcourt.
The Chief Registrar called on the police to continue to demonstrate high level of professionalism in the discharge of their duties in the state. And also used the medium to thank all those who showed concern during the period of his agony. He prayed that the God Almighty will greatly reward them abundantly. And also said that peace should prevail on earth according to him, he said that his life was saved by the grace of God.
Responding the chairman of judicial press corps/crime reporters in the state. Deacon Samuel Chinda said the entire members of the press corps were very happy when they had of the breaking news of his release by his kidnappers.
According to him his members when he was adopted were interceding to God for his release which today God has answered their prayer.
The chairman described him as a man that is very generous, kind and God-fearing. Deacon Chinda, said that while he was in the hands of his abductors that all those who have benefited from him were crying to God for his release, and finally God touched the heart of the kidnappers to immediately release him. Because they were no longer having peace. ###
