Armed Thieves On Rampage, The Newswriter Staff Surrenders Valuables

Armed thieves at Uyo/Sangana axis of, Port Harcourt on Sunday attacked the staff of The Newswriter newspaper and her friend at about 7pm.

Narrating the story, the staff said she and her friend lost their valuables, including money, Nokia XL Worth N30,000.00, expensive handbag, among others at gun point, adding that at first she thought that the two young men who robbed them were passersby not knowing that they have gun in their hands which they brought and pointed at them and ordered them to surrender their personal belongings.

According to her, at that point both of them obeyed, as other passerby who saw the scene were all mindful of their lives. Residents who spoke with our correspondent called on the security agents to do something about the situation. ###
