Fuel Subsidy

Great confusion hovering on the neck
Of greatest black nation like a necklace
Attracting suitors for the arranged marriage of an old bride.

Uncontrollable panic saluting
the pregnant atmosphere for the
combustible discharge of calamity .
What wind is this I know not.

Thou crude of unlimited quality
Thou crude of unlimited quality
Why suffer us with this bitter-pill?
The Niger Delta vomits you
in trillion tons of gas and oil
Stay away from us you voice
of ethnic configuration against us
as tears roll down the cheek
of children, widow and the orphanage.

What manner of fuel subsidy is this
when we fail to restore or build more
of those refineries that reduced the
suffering of the masses?
What gain would come as fears
Sneak in clandestinely?
