Foreign nationals and Nigerians as a whole, no matter their tribes, religions and party affiliations have again been enjoined in calling on President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to without delay declare his intention to re-contest the 2015 general elections.
The National Coordinator of Network for Inclusive Transformation, Elder Boma Anya, who made the call in a chat with newsmen in Port Harcourt over the weekend said the call became necessary following the antecedents of the President in all spheres of life in the country.
Elder Anya explained how the president had actually demonstrated democracy at work with his Transformation Agenda, pointing out that the educational sector has been given a boost without discrimination in the building of the Amajiri schools in all parts of the country while others were given facelift.
Other areas the coordinator was full of commendation was the transport sector with good road network, rejuvenated transportation system, the aviation sector upgraded to international standard as well as sea transportation.
According to him, Agriculture has also been given adequate attention as farmers can now plant at all seasons, poverty eradication, international relationship, private sector cooperation, improved security systems with the nation’s military better equipped than before as well as in the health sector among others.
He opined that for such a leader that had taken Nigeria to such greater heights with his wealth of experience deserves second tenure, and further called for all hands to be on deck for the re-election of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, describing him as a detribalized leader to complete his national assignment to the people of Nigeria since his remarkable achievements speak volume of him.
Elder Anya urged all and sundry to be involved in area of fighting insurgency by the Boko Haram sect and not to put the blame on the president alone. ###
