Fears grip both commercial and private motorists plying the Emohua/Degema/Buguma road as rapists and criminals continue to unleash mayhem on passengers.
Reports have it that the road has become a no go area for passengers as soon as it clocks 6.30pm. The rapists and the criminals will barricade the road and attack their victims violently.
The Emohua/Degema/Buguma road is one of the access roads linking the ever busy East-West road to several Kalabari speaking communities. The road is very busy.
According to information infiltrating into our newsroom, the bandits terrorizing the area are also armed with dangerous weapons such as AK47 riffles. Impeccable sources told this publication, that passengers plying the road have lost thousands of naira to the dreaded bandits.
The frequent users of the road are now calling on the Rivers State Police Command and other security agencies to come to their aid by beefing up security on the road in order to check the heinous activities of the dreaded and heartless bandits. ###
