The Law Students Association of Nigeria, the Rivers State University of Science and Technology chapter and South South Residents Association, Rivers State have called on Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs to declare for the position of Rivers State come 2015.
The two groups in their separate press releases stated that the call became necessary because of the outstanding performance of Chief Lulu-Briggs.
In a release made available and signed by LAWSAN President and Secretary General, Alege Tamunomiebi and Epelle Emmanuel Sonny stated that, “the entire students of LAWSAN, Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt support the candidature of Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs for the governor of Rivers State in 2015, saying that “we shall take our endorsement and support to our various localities, wards, local government Areas for the actualization of this vision in the 2015”.
In another development, the South South Residents Association, Rivers State has equally beckoned on Chief Lulu-Briggs to avail himself and contest the position of Governor come 2015, the coordinator of the group, Evangelist Patrick Nnadili said Chief Lulu-Briggs has not in any way associated himself with security risk and corruption in the state and in the country at large.
The group maintained that if Chief Lulu-Briggs’ is voted into power will speed up development especially in the area of youth development and transformation in the state.
They posited that the decision emanated from a crucial debate hence the endorsement.
The statement further explained that endorsement is also from his peaceful disposition so that the state will witness, peace, security, empowerment and development. ###
