Nigeria Announce Final U-20 Women Squad For World Cup

The head coach of the Nigeria U-20 women national team has released his final team for this year’s Fifa U-20 Women World Cup billed for Canada

Nigeria U-20 women coach Peter Dedevbo has announced his 21-player-squad for the 2014 Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup finals.

The Falconets will be making their seventh appearance in this competition and have been drawn in the Group C with Mexico, Korea Republic and England.

Making the list is Courtney Dike who is the younger sister of Super Eagles’ forward Bright Dike. The tall forward from Oklahoma State University is the only foreign based player in the squad.

The team will depart for Moncton, Canada through Frankfurt in two batches aboard Lufthansa Airlines flight on Thursday and Friday, from Abuja.

There are three goalkeepers, seven defenders, five midfielders and six strikers.
