Unyeada Monarch Calls For Peaceful Co-existence

The Paramount ruler of Unyeada Community in Andoni LGA, HRH King (Dr.) Israel Uzamaden Otuo IX (JP) has called for peaceful co-existence in the community as to build a purposeful and decent society.

The royal father made the call during the 13th annual Unyeada National Day celebration at Etekan Compound square, adding that those who constitute themselves into gangs and rebels to cause disharmony and disunity by running a parallel and outlawed council of Chiefs in the community should have a change of attitude.

He warned that no person should come to Unyeada and install Chiefs or replacement without the consent of the recognized king as there is no court of competent jurisdiction that bound him (Otuo) from conducting his official duties in his domain as the king and paramount ruler of Unyeada kingdom.

Earlier, the king thanked God for taking the community through period of protracted chieftaincy litigations without a single drop of blood explained that the case ended in the apex court of the land (Supreme Court) added that the judgment was delivered on the 29th of June and that was why the community declares 29th June every year as Unyeada National Day Celebration.

In his speech, the chairman of the occasion, Alfred Etete urged the king to run an all inclusive government whereby he will take members of the warring factions who were in court with him into his cabinets.

He further asked the women wing of Unyeada to form Unyeada Women Forum for development, a forum where they will plan development.

Alfred Etete further called on youths to maintain the existing peace and look for meaningful ventures to embark on.

However, he urged the king and his council of chiefs to empower the youths and the women for good. ###
