Keshi Turns Eagles To God

New Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi has turned to God to salvage the calamity that had befallen the national team of recent times.
Keshi over the weekend had embarked on prayers and fasting, asking God to revisit the team that he played for and brought glory to his fatherland, when he was the captain of the Super Eagles.
The Super Eagles failed to qualify for the Nations cup in her first history of the Nations cup in 25 years. Being the coach of the Super Eagles, Keshi has demonstrated great concern to see that the Super Eagles, which team he is the current coach bounce back to her former winning ways.
Keshi was the captain of the team that brought home the country’s second nation’s cup in 94 in Tunisia after 1980 Nations Cup. The team under Keshi qualified for her first world cup and was awarded the best entertaining team.
Keshi, knowing the implication of failure has started doing everything possible to see that a new performing Super Eagles is raised for Nigerians who are passionate with the National football team. In earnest, Keshi has also planned to recruit quality home based players to constitute the Eagles.
Concerned Keshi, while addressing his players said, “This is something strange that Nigeria did not qualify for the Nations Cup in 25 years of the country’s Nations Cup history. We all have to seek the face of God to avert the spiritual calamity that is befalling our football. I will not want what has happened to repeat itself in my tenure as the Eagles coach,” he said.
Keshi with dedication and devotion with these words had embarked on fasting and prayer on behalf of the Super Eagles, to avert the spiritual calamity that has visited Nigerian football. ###
