A prominent socio-political association in Rivers State known as The Kalabari Unity Project Initiative for Good Governance (KUPIGG) has applauded the leadership style of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Gooduck Ebele Jonathan. This was contained in a statement the association sent to The Newswriter on Tuesday.
According to the group, President Jonathan has done much for the people of Nigeria, saying that his administration has launched the country on the path of greatness.
The statement which was signed by the Chairman of the group, Mr. Jerry Horsfall and the Secretary, Comrade Damiete West, the KUPIGG further commended the President for the successful hosting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), expressing optimism that the outcome of the Economic Forum will enable the country to make unprecedented advancement in its economic sector.
The association urged the President to be focused, despite the increasing wave of violence across the country, adding that in no distant time it would be a thing of the past.
The KUPIGG which blasted the alleged sponsors of the Boko Haram, prayed God Almighty to give the President King Solomon’s wisdom to pilot the affairs of the country to the promised land.
The association also lauded the leader of the Rivers State chapter of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, saying that his activities have repositioned the party in the state for an ultimate victory come 2015.
“The Supervisory Minister for Education, Chief Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike is a grassroots politician and a mobilizer and a man of clear vision. We doff our hat for him, for his good works. Without him, PDP cannot create positive impact in the state. He made the party what it is today,” the KUPIGG said.
The group called on all party supporters and loyalists to rally round the federal minister so as to take PDP to the greater heights.
Meanwhile, the KUPIGG has sent a letter of congratulations to the leadership of Rivers PDP under the watchful eyes of Chief Felix Obuah on its one year in office.
The congratulatory message which was signed by the chairman and the secretary of the association respectively, says that KUPIGG is happy in associating with the party chairman, Chief Obuah and his executives and prayed God to shower His blessings on them. The association also commended Chief Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike for his astute leadership qualities and prayed God to continue to bless him. ###
