Hope and joy are in the offing for soccer talents in the waterfront, hinterland as a humanitarian non-governmental organization is organizing a 5 aside football tournament for such folks
Speaking to The Newswriter sports, the presiding coordinator of the tournament Amobi O’Athans revealed that the Greener Pastures Humanitarian Foundation is taking this step to harvest souls for Christ, adding that those youths at the waterfronts and hinterlands are useful as those from rich family background hence his organization has decided to give all the opportunity to enjoy the same live enjoyed by those in rich homes or background. Believing that with their soccer talent they too could make a difference in the society. He further hinted that over (50) fifty souls have already given their lives to Christ through interactive section of the programme.
The competition is tagged “Emerging stars from the slums for kingdom Dominion purpose: “Breaking the bones of obscurity.”
Registration forms are given out free of charge as interesting prize are up for grab with an addition of N200.00 (two hundred naira) for first place team, N150,000 (One hundred and fifty thousand for second place team and N100.000 (One Hundred Naira) for the third place team with medals and trophies.
The competition will feature 5 players and 3 substitute with 2 officials per team. The competition is zoned across Rivers State, including Oyigbo, Eleme and Onne. ###
