Institute of Directors Inaugurates Port Harcourt Branch

25th of March, 2014 will remain indelible in the minds of the president, council members and inded the entire embers of Institute of Directors of Nigeria as they converged at Hotel Presidential to inaugurate Port Harcourt branch of the institute

To chief (Mrs.) Eniola Fadayomi, president/chairman of council IOD, it was a historic event that would remain significant in the annuals of the institute, haven had frantic efforts to actualize the dream, even before 2012, which she attributed to security challenges.

After the inauguration and election of a 5 man executive members of Port Harcourt branch, where Mr. Innocent Harry Iyalla will serve as the branch chairman, Mr. Patrick Unogu, the vice chairman, Mr. Chidi Okoro as the Honorary Secretary, Mrs. Lulu Briggs, Honorary Treasurer and Mr. Patrick Ugboma as ex-officio member.

Mrs. Fadayomi, however, charged the branch executive to take its rightful position in the Nigeria business environment and enjoined members to take advantage of the IOD identify card that will be of help to them, especially in the UK, if they run into financial difficulties, adding that Nigeria’s IOD is an affiliate member of IOD UK, and drew their attention on the need to always see integrity and transparency as their watch words.

Among those that lauded the stride of Chief Mrs. Fadayomi and urged members of Port Harcourt branch to take advantage of the inauguration were Mr. Chike Nwanze, former president, Chief Dr. I.O. Dada, first vice president and Mrs. S. Lulu Briggs amongst others.

While Mr. Innocent Harry, the newly inaugurated chairman of Port Harcourt branch, expressed gratitude on the honour done him, saying that he had no doubt in his mind that Port Harcourt was ripe for the event that took place and promised that they will take the chapter to the expected destination.  ###
