Chief (Eld) Christian A.Y. Kokoriko (tourist), the President- General of the League of Character Clubs Nigeria (LCCN) has conferred Character Award on HRM Eze (Hon.) Chamberlain Nosike Moses Igwe III, Eze Ohali (Eze Ogbaburuzorchni).
Speaking at the event, the President General cited humility and patriotism as major reasons for conferring the prestigious award on the respected traditional ruler of Ohali kingdom in Ogbaland in Rivers State.
According to Chief Kokoriko, the Eze Ohali has contributed much towards the development of Omoku, especially Ohali kingdom. He commended the royal father for his love for mankind.
Chief Kokoriko who had earlier announced the appointment of the Eze Ohali as the Patron of the LCCN, saying that the club would soon organize this year’s HRH Chief Pere Dappa Harold Biriye’s Soccer competitions in the south-south region and also the Late Senator (Dr.) Melford Obene Okilo’s seminar on good character. Kokoriko promised to ensure that the club’s peace campaign is being organized across the state.
Receiving the award, the paramount ruler thanked the club for the honour done him. He advised Nigerians not to use any political issue to create violence in the country. The Eze Ogbaburuzorchni charged Nigerians to always stand for the truth stating that character rules the world.
He thanked, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for his good intention for the people of Nigeria. He applauded the president’s Transformation Agenda and called on the people of his community to always tread the path of peace and dialogue. He further urged them not to do anything that would frustrate the 2015 general elections.
The highlight of the occasion was the conferment of chieftaincy title on the President General of LCCN, Chief (Eld) Kokoriko as the Eze Ijeoma I of Ogbaland.
Meanwhile the administrative secretary, Character Chinedu C. Egbule and the entire members of the LCCN has felicitated with their President-General on the conferment of the chieftaincy title. ###
